• First of all, congratulations to MrMommaKitty on winning August's Skill of the Month competition, he gained an impressive 10,122,825 total experience last month.
  
• Kicking off our new approach to a Runescape community clan is September's Skill of the Month, Dungeoneering. We've expanded and are no longer limiting our events and focus to skilling but just plain having fun. Head over to the Upcoming Events forum to check it out.
  
• Popular vote decided that from now on we will call ourselves Ambiance. A lot of work is going into simply switching that over.
  
• VERY IMPORTANT: Our new clan chat is called 'Ambiance IGC'. We encourage you, whenever you log in, to drop in and say hello.
  
• Cluck and I are staying on board as Leaders while Alpha, Prince, and Notre will be the new (old) staff. We're also reworking a lot of staff policies so Ambiance can be run more effectively.
  
• I've added two new skins for the forums, Delicate and Comfy.
  
• We are in the process of coming up with new group names and icons for our new clan name.
  
• A huge project we are just planning out at the moment is a redesigned home page, but it unfortunately won't be done for a while.

In short, the clan hasn't been doing very well. There are very few active members, and the clan has not grown much at all in nearly a year. In order to prevent the clan shutting down, it has been decided that there will be a total overhaul of how the clan is set up by the official third anniversary of Skillerz's opening - 25 August. You will notice a couple people have been moved to the Staff group - these are members who were formerly Staff, Leaders, and the man who founded the clan with me. They are to be trusted and respected as any staff are.

On the 25th, I will be handing over total control of the clan to Cluck_Joe13 and Crazed_Fiend, along with myself. I will still be around, but will not have much of an active role in participating in the clan. Your new leaders have been chosen by the current staff and their peers due to their experience as former Leaders in the clan, as well as their total dedication to the clan.

Cluck, as some of you may know, was a leader not too long ago. He has been with the clan since before April of 2008 when the old forums went down. At the time he was staff, and from there quickly rose on these forums to become the longest-term leader other than myself that the clan has ever had. Even after time restraints caused him to have to step down, he has shown dedication to the clan beyond that of most members.

Crazed has been with the clan even longer than that, and was already leading when the old forums went down. He was promoted from Junior Leader (which has since been deemed an unneeded stepping stone) to a full leader shortly after we got settled in here. He was leader for an extremely long time, and, before stepping down, chose Cluck to be his replacement. Shortly after, he rejoined the staff and has been faithfully moderating the forums since.

They will be helped by a reworked team of staff, consisting of Explosion22, Noterdame2, BajanPrince5, AlphaOmegaPx, and Mike_Ryan.

Explosion has been part of the clan for a year, and has chosen to resign from his leading duties to take a more manageable role of staff. Noter, whom none of you are old enough to remember, founded this clan with me back in August of 2007. He chose to leave due to personal reasons, and has been back and forth with the clan since the transition to these forums, and will be assisting now as staff. Prince has been with the clan for just over a year, and will be continuing to participate as staff. Alpha also has been part of the clan for a little more than a year and will be continuing to help as staff. Mike_Ryan has been with the clan for nearly a year and a half, and will remain staff as well.

They have all chosen to be in their positions and are trusted to perform well. Again, these are all parts of the current staff, and those who have shown dedication to the clan beyond that of most others. They are to be respected. Again, they have chosen to be part of the staff, and have been approved of by their peers.

When the major shift begins, you will find that the forums will be changing quite a lot - this is for the second major part of the transition (the first being the new Leadership/Staff). Skillerz will be transitioning from a purely Skill-oriented clan into a more open community, with both Skilling events and Combat-related activities.

At some point after the shift, it has also been decided that, for part 3, due to the shift in the clan, Skillerz will be renamed. The new name is yet to be determined. This name will chosen by polling you, the members, and implemented as smoothly as possible. The domain name will change, but the current skillerzclan.com will be set to redirect to the new one.

Some other things that will be happening include:
-The Skillerz Helpsite will be removed.
-A new section of the forums for help articles will be introduced.
-New forums for combat stuff will be added.
-The usergroup names will change around to accommodate the new name.
-Staff will be formally divided into two separate groups, for managing the community and in-game events.
