Introduction

Many would argue that Runecrafting is one of the most boring, if not the most boring, skills to train in all of Runescape. It is no coincidence that it is one of the most profitable skills in all of Runescape as well.
The Special Case with Tiaras

Believe it or not, the best way to gain Runecrafting experience is not by crafting runes, but rather enchanting tiaras. Go figure. You can enchant a tiara by using a plain tiara and the proper talisman on the altar; you don't even need a Runecrafting level to enchant Tiaras! Now, which Tiaras should you craft? Well, if you are looking for the fastest Runecrafting experience Runescape has to offer, than I recommend you craft Law Tiaras. Simply take the boat to Entrana to get there, and use Pest Control's bank to restock. Enchanting law tiaras gives a whopping 665 experience per inventory, which is much better than 272.5 experience an inventory for Blood Runes… And, considering it only takes about a minute to bank and return, you can earn up to 40k experience an hour using this method, no matter what level you may be. If you play the Great Orb project and get some blood rune tablets, you can get 735 experience an inventory. And with a Dueling ring as well as a Blood Altar teleport tablet, you can make each trip in about 30 seconds, giving you an unparalleled 90k experience an hour! Pretty impressive, huh? Now, if you do not want to fork over the ridiculous amount of money for Law Talismans, or if you're F2P, then I'd go with enchanting Air Tiaras. Not only are Air Talismans dirt cheap and the altar a short distance away from a bank, but you still manage to get 350 experience an inventory. This inventory will take you about a minute, which means 21k experience an hour, which still is pretty good, considering.
The Great Orb Project

The Great Orb Project require 50 Runecrafting to play, mainly because it is located in the Runecrafting Guild. The aim of this game is to collect as many yellow and green orbs as possible; if your team does well, you are awarded some special Essence that can be crafted at an altar for double experience, as well as some tickets that can be used to purchase several special Runecrafting items, like altar tablets and special Runecrafting Robes. If making Tiaras is not your cup of tea and you would rather train Runecrafting the traditional way, then it is recommended you play the Great Orb Project for a while in order to give you a Runecrafting edge.
The ZMI Altar
In case you were wondering, ZMI stands for Zamorak Mage Institute. Now, this is a very special Runecrafting altar, so pay attention. Instead of choosing which runes you want to craft, you can simply craft random runes, which will give you more experience when crafted. No Runecrafting level is required to craft anything, but higher Runecrafting levels increase the chances of higher level runes. You may only use Pure Essence. In the maze itself, you have two paths to take, depending on your combat level. If you are big, brave, and strong, you can take the right path, which is filled with monsters of all breeds (mage, range, and melee). If you are patient and weak, take the other path, which is longer, but you won't die taking it.
The Abyss
The Abyss is a Runecrafter's paradise. After helping the Zamorak Mage discover several Rune Essence Mining spots, you gain access to a place that allows you to teleport to every single Runecrafting altar, although there is a catch. Everywhere, monsters are trying to kill you. Luckily for you, you don't need any talismans or tiaras, so you have all the space you need to wear your full armor. The monsters are known to drop some useful items, though…
Runecrafting Pouches
Remember those useful items we were talking about? Well, these items include Runecrafting pouches, which can hold a certain amount of essence based on the size of the pouch. If you want to procure one of these pouches, either buy a large or giant pouch from Wizard Korvak, or go get a Runecrafting pouch from drops by the monsters found in the Abyss.
